I have always been mad about macaroons, how pretty they look and all those yummy flavours they come in! But I never thought they are something I could bake at home. After one particularly tasty toffee macaroon I was addicted and I had to find a way to make them myself! I came across this recipe and was surprised that they actually looked do-able. So over the long weekend I tried making my first batch and they weren’t hard at all! Messy and created a mountain of washing up but they worked! They don’t look like the macaroons you would find on the streets of Paris yet but I’m a fan of the homemade look! I can’t wait to start trying out new flavours and colours. They would also make the loveliest gifts especially if you can theme the colour and flavour to the recipient!
